Global Warming Is Happening And We Are Creating It!!!

February 28th, 2008 by xoxbelloxo

Here is a graph to prove that we are creating global warming and it is happening!

This shows how the CO2 amount affects the temperature. We are creating CO2 so we are raising the temperature!!! If we do not stop polluting, we will become to warm of a planet and eventually die out like the dinosaurs. Join my side and save the planet with me. STOP POLLUTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

What is Global Warming????BY: Mgoblue1996

February 28th, 2008 by mgoblue1996

Global Warming is a terrible thing.  It is caused by pollution because the higher the pollution the higher the CO2, which will cause the temperature.

What happens is the sun’s rays go into the Earth and they get trapped in by the O-zone layer. This heat can cause serious heat plus the extra pollution we are giving away.  When we watched the movie with Al Gore and when he showed us the CO2 chart i was blown away.  I couldn’t't believe it because we are at the highest we have ever been with CO2.  So basically, Global warming is when the Sun’s rays go onto the Earth and is trapped by the Ozone Layer.  Also, when we pollute the CO2 makes greenhouse gases and it causes more heat to stay in the Earth.

Greenhouse Effect

February 28th, 2008 by totallyshort55

The greenhouse effect is the ozone layer keeping the heat from the sun inside of the Earth. Unfortunately, our Earth is warming rapidly, and people are getting worried. Some people say that pollution is causing the warming. I do not think that, I think that pollution is speeding up the process, but the other part of warming is natural.

Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming

February 28th, 2008 by bball4life

What I know about the greenhouse effect is that the ozone layer is thickening so more heat is getting radiated back to the Earth. When we pollute, we send carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, and nitrous oxide. All of these compounds absorb heat that makes the Earth warmer. If we cannot stop polluting, then the Earth will dramatically heat up. What I know about Global Warming is that if it keeps getting worse than our ice caps will be melted and we would get flooded. If that happens we could all die. Also, I think that global warming is natural, but we are making it worse by polluting. In conclusion, this is what I think about the greenhouse effect and global warming.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN SOME REGIONS FROM xoxbell0xo,

BUT KNOW ONE HAS SEEN THIS!

AS YOU SEE MOST OF THE ICE IS LOCATED IN ANTARCIA.  ANTARCIA IS ACCUMALATING IN ICE, SO MAYBE IS SOME PLACES ICE IS GOING DOWN BUT ANTARCIA IS ONLY GOING UP!

My View on the Greenhouse Effect

February 28th, 2008 by kkyla07

The Greenhouse Effect is where solar heat is trapped in our atomsphere.  I do believe it has an effect in temperature.  Before we have summer, spring must arise, the accumalating greenhouse gases is like spring and it is normal to an extent.  Our cars and other fossil fuel appliances are adding unnormally to the mix and then we end up with too much.   Overall, the Greenhouse effect is important.

GLOBAL WARMINGG!!!!!!!

February 28th, 2008 by xoxkutipixox

Global warming, is killing our place we call home. We wont be able to call it home anymore if you we all don’t stop polluting. Why? Because the Earth with be so hot! We all wont be able to live on a planet if the temperature is at extremes. That’s what happening though. With the ice caps melting, the pollution, the ozone layer, one way or another were going to go. With the Ice Caps, we will be flodded. If the pollution does’t stop, we will choke to death from harmful chemicals. And if the ozone layer is destroyed, we will burn to crisps. So what choice do we have?

Our only option is to stop polluting. That would make SUCH a difference. Or these nightmares may not be night mares might, but true and real.

The green house effect

February 28th, 2008 by moss49

The greenhouse effect is a kind of shield that lets the sun’s heat in to the planet but traps it in so the planet heats. This is bad because it makes stronger hurricanes and melts glaciers we need for water. It is caused by our CO2 emissions. If we don’t stop polluting we could die. This is my opinion on the green house effect.

What I know about the greenhouse effect and global warming

February 28th, 2008 by hockeydude23

The Greenhouse effect is where sunlight comes into our atmosphere, bounces off the surface of the earth and tries to get back out into space, but the ozone layer, made of greenhouse gasses, (nitrous oxide, methane, co2, and water vapour) keep in the heat.  As we pollute, the ozone layer gets thicker and thicker and keeps more heat in.

 This is the Greenhouse effect.

Greenhouse Gasses: Good or Bad

February 28th, 2008 by sammytaylor

Greenhouse gasses can be good for Earth, but also bad. The greenhouse gasses absorb heat and also send them back to outer space. But as we put more and more greenhouse gasses (sometimes pollution) into the atmosphere our Earth heats up more and more rapidly. Some examples of greenhouse gasses are CO2 (carbon dioxide) and water vapor. Some people believe that greenhouse gasses are contributing to global warming, I know I do.

Global Warming & the Greenhouse Effect

February 28th, 2008 by soccerislife8

Global warming is when the the Sun’s energy enters the Earth’s atmosphere, but not all of it can easily find its way out again.  This is called the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect isn’t all bad because it allows people to live on Earth.  The greenhouse effect is just like a greenhouse, it holds heat inside our atmosphere. The only difference is the molecules in our atmosphere called greenhouse gases absorb the heat and trap it.

WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT AND GLOBAL WARMING

February 28th, 2008 by blueboy

I know quite a few things about the greenhouse effect and global warming. I know that the o-zone layer is a big contributor of the greenhouse effect because it lets heat from the sun to get in but not out. I also know that the o-zone layer, methane gas, and fuel is contributing to the “so called” globalwarming because the o-zone layer is keeping heat in, methane gas polluted our air and heating it up, along with with other gases such as fuel is heating up the earth and causing the global warming. These are some of the things I know about the greenhouse effect and global warming.

What is Global Warming?

February 28th, 2008 by turtlelvr11

Global Warming is the warming of the earth.  There are scientists that are investigating the warming of the earth right now.  The reason that they are researching this is simple: over the last few years we have been experiencing record highs in temperature.  There are two sides or theories to this problem.  Some people,  believe that the warming of the earth is being caused by humans.  They say that over the last couple of hundreds of years that our CO2 levels have been rising, in turn causing the temperature to rise along with it.  Others, however, believe that this problem is not the fault of humans.  They say that the earth is simply going through a natural warming period like it did in the medieval times with the supposed “warming period”.  They also say that we are warming up again a  small, miniature ice age that had just occurred.  Witchever side you are on, there is no dobt that there is a problem and we need to fix it.

Global warming and the greenhouse effect

February 28th, 2008 by dchoi

The greenhouse effect is when greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide trap the suns rays and warm the earth.  Many people think the more co2 the hotter the earth will get.  I think the green house contributes greatly to the warming of the earth.  Therefore the more co2 the worse global warming will get.  I think global warming is partly our fault and partly natural.  It is partly natural because the earth is just warming up from its last ice age.  It is party our fault because we are polluting and there for speeding up the warming process.

GEGW (Greenhouse Effect, Global Warming)

February 28th, 2008 by soccershrimp12

After visiting the site, I learned a couple new things on Global Warming, and the Greenhouse Effect. First, as you know the sun is the source of all energy on Earth, so the greenhouse effect makes sure how much of suns energy is let in and out, and this is done in a very balanced, and delicate manner. But now the Greenhouse effect is not balanced, and is letting more heat in than out. Which is from us polluting with Co2 and other harmful pollutants. What does this all sum up to, you may ask? Global Warming, and it’s about time we do something about our greenhouse effect being off balance and to stop this Global Warming! :) Sorry if I wrote to much!

Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming

February 28th, 2008 by flyingcows101

Some of the sun’s rays get caught in our ozone layer so this will heat our Earth.  In a greenhouse the heat gets trapped inside by the glass, but on Earth we don’t have glass surrounding our planet, but we have an ozone layer.

WHAT is GLOBAL WARMING??

February 28th, 2008 by sillycat101

The answer to that question is easy really. Global warming is when the Earth heats up because of greenhouse gases, and the suns rays. The suns rays come in through holes in the ozone layer and greenhouse gases keep it in to keep the earth warm. The more greenhouse gases, the more heat gets traped in.  That part is easy. the real question is if it is real. Many scientists are questioning if this information is real. Hopefully we will find out soon!

Greenhouse effect

February 28th, 2008 by soccerstar1496

The greenhouse effect causes all heat to be trapped in the atmosphere making the Earth warmer. That is what we call global warming. The warming of the Earth is not all humans fault there are many other things contributing to it. Farm animals, forest fires, and volcanoes also send a big amount of CO2 into the air. Scientists also think that global warming is one of the Earth’s cycles and the Earth is getting warmer from the mini ice age still

Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming

February 28th, 2008 by jcpeck

The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere trap energy from the sun. For example, water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane.  Without these gases, heat would escape back into space and we would be much colder.

greenhouse and global warming

February 28th, 2008 by elkrapids234

I know that the greenhouse effect is when gases get trapped in our air. Man is adding to the problem because of our burning of fossil fuels. Global warming is made up of many things. First, pollution. Second, greenhouse effect, and finally third carbon dioxide. There are also many other things that have to do with it. Pollution has a big effect on global warming because we are burning so many fossil fuels.Such as, cars, buses, airplanes, factories, and even cows! This is a big problem. Global warming is a huge debate right now in our world. Carbon dioxide is one of the fuels we are burning. That is what I know about global warming.

The Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming

February 28th, 2008 by xoxbelloxo

The greenhouse effect is the Earth’s natural way of warming ourselves. The greenhouse gasses trap the heat from the sun and warm us up. Without the greenhouse effect, we would have a freezing cold planet.

Global Warming is our Earth heating up based on the CO2 level going up which traps heat more than it needs to, causing the Earth to drastically warm up. Pollutants in the air from  cars to factories is what helps to create CO2.

The Greenhouse Effect

February 28th, 2008 by mariner10

Earth and Venus are the only planets in our solar system that have the greenhouse effect.  The greenhouse effect is caused by our atmosphere trapping gases and heating Earth, giving it a steady temperature.  The greenhouse effect is the reason that Venus is hotter than Mercury. Believers in man-made global warming think that trapped gases caused by the greenhouse effect are part of the reason of global warming.  I do not.  I think that the greenhouse effect has a very minimal or no effect on the subject because if you know your facts, you’ll know that the ice caps in South America are getting bigger.  How could this happen if the Earth was supposedly “heating up?”

I think that Al Gore’s graph left out the medieval warming period and the “little ice age”.  I can see how our temperature levels are higher than ever before, but now I think we are going to go into an ice age.  According to the skeptics graph it gets hot then cold, hot then cold, and right now it is hot so now it will get cold.

Global Warming Fact or Fiction

February 28th, 2008 by kkyla07

I believe to an extent we are causing global warming, but I also natural.  C20 could be the cause to global warming, but Earth has been at times when c20 didn’t exist and warming periods were still happening.  In some places in the world ice has been melting, but in Antarcia it’s been getting cooler and ice has been accumalating.  Some of Gore’s data is valid but it doesn’t cover the entire planet and only the parts that support his decision.  Overall, I believe we are causing global warming, but it is also natural.

Global Warming

February 28th, 2008 by spongebob101

I strongly believe that global warming is 100% man-made. The more CO2 there is the higher the temperature goes.  The hurricanes are becoming stronger due to the rising amount of moister in the air. If we do not stop this then possibility the water level will be at an unbelievably high level. If the temperature goes way, way up, then the water level will cover a lot of the USA and places will become overpopulatedan eventually the population of mankind will die out. Our pollution needs to stop! Overall, i believe that global warming is all made from humans mistakes.

Global Warming:End of the world or Publicity semi-hoax

February 27th, 2008 by planets411

I believe there are three prospectives on this fragile matter. One: skeptics, two: “believers”, and three: half-and-half. each one having their own characteristics. I am half-and-half. I believe that, yes we have contributed, but this is still semi-natural. I believe this because the Earth is still warming up from the last ice-age. With this comes the fact that we have contributed, but not by much. What most people don’t know is that the south pole has growing ice caps. Now, some of you are probably saying I am a skeptic, but truthfully I respect both sides. Please share your views.

Blog on Global Warming, by mgoblue1996

I do believe that global warming happening and we are the reason.  We are polluting and the more we pollute the higher the Carbon Dioxide and the higher the temperature.  We can burn and die if we keep polluting.  I believe that global warming is man-made because the Greenhouse Effect is trapping gases inside the Earth’s Atmosphere.  The CO2 level has been raising for years and now it is at an all time high.  Now you tell me, how could this be natural.

Yes, I am a skeptic

February 27th, 2008 by tkucha

I think that we are not the total cause of global warming.  I think that we are speeding up the process.  I think that the global warming is just a phase and there has been a period in time where it has been as warm as now and we are just warming up from a “mini ice age”  I think that we will have another “mini ice age” soon, and this will repeat in a pattern.  In conclusion, I think that we are not the entire cause of global warming, but we are speeding up the process.

Global Warming, Man-made or Natural?

February 27th, 2008 by jcpeck

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.  So what do I believe it is, natural or man-made?  I believe that global warming is man-made because Greenhouse gases are building up in the Earth’s atmosphere. They create a “blanket” around the planet and trap heat at the surface.  These gases have always been there. But since people started burning more fossil fuel, the blanket has become extra-thick and traps too much heat. How much more can the Earth take?

Global warming - skeptic or beliver

February 27th, 2008 by hockeydude23

I think that part of the earth’s rising temperature is because of us, and part of it is a natural cycle.  First, skeptics say that we are warming up from the “little ice age”.  Also, they say that there was a warming period called the “medieval warming period” that was hotter than it is today.  Second, the ozone layer contains co2.  Our cars emit this into the air which makes the ozone layer bigger, which keeps more hot air in the atmosphere.  Overall, I think that part of the earth’s rising temperature is because of us, and part of it is a natural cycle.

Thoughts on Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by saa1013

I’m not sure about global warming. I believe it is a natural phase of the Earth, and partly our fault too. I believe it is natural because temperatures have gone up this high before, when there wasn’t as much CO2. I think that it might go higher than before though, because we’re adding CO2 into the atmosphere, boosting temperatures even higher. I’m a little confused about all these facts on global warming, and hopefully after this unit I will not be confused. I believe that global warming is natural and  partly our fault.

Global Warming: Skeptic or Believer?

February 27th, 2008 by soccerislife8

There are two sides to global warming, the skeptics and the believers. I’m in the middle of those two because I think global warming is both natural and man-made. I believe that global warming is a natural state, a warming stage, that the Earth is going through. This is because the Ice Age was Earth’s cooling stage and now global warming is Earth’s warming stage. On the other hand, some people are polluting which causes the CO2 level to increase.  Both contamination and pollution speed up the process of global warming. If pollution is the key to global warming than it needs to stop immediatley because it’s not fair that the people of the next generation might not be able to see a glacier or even a polar bear.

Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by totallyshort55

I kind’ve think humans are causing global warming. I think we are still warming from the past ice age, but I think humans are also adding onto global warming. I think that we are polluting more and more and we are messing up the natural system of warming. The CO2 is rising. Some people are trying to make a difference to stop pollution and instead of people polluting less, it’s MORE! :-(

Global Warming- Man-made or natural?

February 27th, 2008 by turtlelvr11

Some ask us, What is global wariming doing to us?  Well first of all you need to know what global warming is and if you believe or if your a skeptic. For me, I know where my opinion is and I say that yes, it is happening.  There is much evidence supporting this statment.  However, there is evidence supporting skeptics too.  I shall be open minded to all ideas however, I do, as of now, believe that it is man-made or the problem was caused by humans.  Some evidence supporting this is that Co2 levels have been rising and that has caused the temperature to go up and I believe humans to be the cause of the increase in CO2 levles. With that, I leave you to decide.

GLOBAL WARMING……. THE ULTIMATE LIE!!!!!!!!!

February 27th, 2008 by blueboy

GLOBAL WARMING IS ONE OF THE GREATEST MYHS KNOWN TO MAN! THIS IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST LIE THE EARTH HAS EVER KNOWN BARELY ABOVE THE ROSEWELL STORY! I KNOW THIS BECAUSE SCEPTICS SAY WE WENT THROUGH A MINATURE ICE-AGE IN THE 1800’s AND THE DATA HAS PROVEN THAT WHENEVER THE EARTH I ABOUT TO GET TO HOT WE GO THROUGH ANOTHER ICE-AGE, SO RIGHT NOW WE ARE APPROACHING ANOTHER ICEAGE. THE GLACIERS MAY BE MELTING BUT WHEN WE GO THROUGH ANOTHER ICE-AGE THE GLACIERS WILL FREEZE UP AGAIN. THESE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS WHY I AM A SCEPTIC AND WHY GLOBAL WARMING IS AN 100% FLAT OUT LIE!

Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by dchoi

I thing global warming is partly man made and partly natural.  I believe as we pollute more it is releasing more co2 in the atmosphere.  The green house effect is when gasses like  co2, take the suns rays and warm the earth.  That is why we are able to live here.  So as we add more co2 i think it will make the green houses gasses stronger and the earth will get hotter.  Is is also global warming is natural because i think we are also warming up from the last ice age but we are making it the tempeture get too high.

Inside Global Warming- Man Made or Natural Cycle?

February 27th, 2008 by sammytaylor

I definitely believe that global warming is a natural cycle, but however it is partially man-made with the gas from cars, the energy we use, and all of our waste. Even though the charts say that this is the warmest period the Earth has ever experienced they forgot to mention that we just exited the coolest period, Earth naturally goes through warming and cooling periods and this is just a REALLY warm period.  The experts say that if global warming was totally man-made the temperature of the atmosphere would be a lot hotter than it is. This is why I believe that global warming in mostly natural but partially man-made. I am more of a skeptic.

Global Warming Freak

February 27th, 2008 by soccershrimp12

I am on the fence on whether Global Warming is man-made or Earth’s natural cycle. I am like this because, after watching Al Gores movie, I believed completely that the cause of Global warming is our fault from us polluting, which resulted with the CO2 level going up same with the temperature, and he proved this with graphs and pictures. Then I saw the skeptic side which proved that this is just earth’s natural cycle and we are warming up from a small ice age. So that’s it, and hopefully I can go onto the other side.

Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by bball4life

I am sort of in the middle of believing or not believing global warming. I think that the Earth warming is natural, but we are making the warming period worse. We are making it worse because we are polluting a lot and we are making the ozone layer thicker. For example, a hurricane was never suppose to hit South America but it did in 2005. In conclusion, I think the warming period is natural, but we are making it worse.global_warming.gif

Global Warming IS Man-Made!

February 27th, 2008 by xoxbelloxo

Global Warming is man-made! Global warming is a very serious matter. How could global warming be natural? The CO2 level has been raising for years and now we are at an all time high. As the CO2 has been rising, so has the temperature with the CO2. We also are witnessing this with our own eyes. Glaicers have been melting. How else ould this be?

My Opinion On Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by dhmm77

I believe that global warming is happening. However, I believe that it is partially natural. The skeptics in my opinion are correct, they have shown that there was a medieval warming period, so why can’t it happen again. Also, the believers are right too. It is getting warmer than the medieval warming period. It’s getting warmer because of the greenhouse effect and we’re helping it.

Global Warming

February 27th, 2008 by soccerstar1496

I don’t think we are causing global warming, but I do think we are contributing to it. With in the last hundred years the temperature has rose greatly. Research shows though that the Earth went through a medieval warming period then a little ice age. I think this is one of the Earth’s stages, but I think by polluting the Earth is still warmer than it should be. I also think the greenhouse effect is real and its from the polluting we are doing, not the Earth’s stage

Global Warming…Natural or Man-Made?

February 27th, 2008 by masters1132

I believe that the global warming is all natural because with the graph that Al Gor showed us it is a pattern over thousands of years. the CO2 and temperature level always went up and down every couple thousand years. I think that this is all just part of the pattern and that in another thousand years we will have an ice age.

What I think about global warming.

February 27th, 2008 by elkrapids234

I am still wondering if global warming exsists. After watching the Al Gore movie I was almost convinced that it was happening, because of the carbon dioxide charts. But my opinion changed after watching the skeptics movie. I am almost convinced that it is just another warming period and we will be fine. I think a lot of people are freaking out for no reason. I do believe that we should pollute less, that is a big deal now of days. I am not really convinced that hurricanes are getting stronger, but Al Gore was convincing. I believe it is partially man-made and partially natural. That is my opinion on global warming.

GLOBAL WARMING is it real?

February 27th, 2008 by sillycat101

Nobody really knows if global warming is real, but I believe that it is probably not. I think this because scientists have proof that a small ice age came a long time ago, and that the Earth may just be warming up from the ice age. On the other hand though, scientists also have proof that the co2 leval is going up, and that is the cause of global warming, but how do we know that it is us that are making the co2 fumes? We don;t and that is why I am very confused. Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s not.

I believe, along with many other scientists, that global warming is not man-made.  It is too early to say we’re causing this! I believe that the Earth’s heating is natural.  Over thousands of years ago the Earth’s temperature went into a virtual ditch that may have been the lowest point of temperature averaging.  Earth has been going in and out of ice ages constantly for millions of years.  In South America the ice caps are getting bigger!  This is why I believe that global warming is a natural cycle.

By the way, the people who believe global warming is natural aren’t called skeptics.  The “man-made” believers are sometimes called skeptics to the people who think global warming is natural!

Global warming is going to kill us in 20 to 50 years and I believe in global warming because the heating point is to high.

I think that global warming is horrible. I think its horrible because we cannot do anything about it! Also, in my opinion, its Earths natural cycle. We (everyone on Earth that burns fossil fuels, or does anything else that pollutes) are adding to the problem though. Help save Earth,

Stop Polluting!

Global warming

February 27th, 2008 by moss49

I think that global warming is happening because of man-made causes. For one thing CO2 has gone up and so has temperature. Man kind his polluting a lot and I think that is a cause of global warming. CO2 causes the greenhouse effect which traps heat and melts the glaciers. We also are having stronger hurricanes from warmer water. We need to stop pollution so we don’t die out. This is my opinion of global warming.

This graph supports me

All About Global Warming!

February 27th, 2008 by finnnnnjr

There are two sides to global warming, the skeptics and believers. I am in the middle of those two, because i believe that global warming is a natural state, but some people are polluting and speeding up the process. However our CO2 levels are very high and which causes me to think we are polluters and need to stop.

blogging

February 27th, 2008 by dchoi

So far I thing blogging is really fun because you get to share your opinion on other peoples posts.  I think it is different than other classroom activities because we get to have more freedom and with more freedom comes more responsibility.  Also in class discussions sometimes only a few kids get called on but when you do blogs everyone gets a chance to say what they want to.   I think doing blogs will be for the better because kids will be able to express their feelings.  Also we can do this whenever we want at home or at school.  I am really glad we are doing blogs. :]

blogging

February 27th, 2008 by totallyshort55

Blogging is SO much fun! I like how we can comment on each others blogs to talk about what WE think.

But . . . Blogging is a little different then in class. In class, there is a limited amount of people that can comment or ask questions so we won’t run out of class time. When we blog, EVERYBODY can comment and ask questions :-) ! Blogging is better than talking about in class in SOME ways. Blogging is better because everybody gets to comment and question, but blogging is worse because not that many people might  comment you, or they won’t comment you at all.

Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by soccerstar1496

I think blogging is sort of boring right now. All we have really done is publish one thing on favorite foods and commented on other peoples blogs. I think it would be more interesting if we did less commenting on peoples blogs and more writing. I do think it is better than a class activity because we aren’t having a really boring discussion and writing about this stuff. I also hope that the kids next year can do this

My thoughts about blogging

February 27th, 2008 by saa1013

I like blogging so far because you get to share your opinion and see other people’s opinions. Also, you get to comment on what someone else wrote. I think it is different from a class discussion because everyone can ”speak” their mind’s at the same time, without being called on. It helps me learn better, hearing a lot of opinions rather then just a couple.

Blogging rocks!!!!! Blogging is so much better than being in class.

 1. Because we get to practice useing computers

 2. The room is silent and it’s easier to concentrate

 3. We aren’t wasting paper

4. Now, it is more than a classroom conversation, everyone puts in his/her opinion and it’s not just a few people

5. Everyone pays attention more

I love blogging because:

 1. We use computers

2. It is much more fun than discussing

3.I feel more interested

4. It’s like school version of AIM except it’s safer and we’re learning

5. I can see what other people think of my opinions.

Our New Blog

February 27th, 2008 by sillycat101

I love our blog!!! It’s more fun to type and read what you think than to say it out loud. Its also a good learning experience for everyone. I believe that it’s better that it is worse to have a blog in the class because we can all share our ideas at the same time, and comment one another without the busy calling and trying to be able to share with everyone out loud. It’s different because we are not all talking as one group, but are sharing our opinions through writing and I think that’s important.

BlOGGING, ANOTHER HIT FROM BLUEBOY

February 27th, 2008 by blueboy

Blogging is different than class discussions because you get to read about what other people think and also you would pick up information depending on what they said. Blogging is better than I thought because you get to share what you think with a much larger audience than just your teachers. You also can comment on others peoples work and you can have input on how good it was or if it needed improvement. FROM BLUEBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blogging!!!!!

February 27th, 2008 by chm12395

I think that blogging is fun experience to do during school.  It teaches us in a way that we like.  It is different then a normal class because there is a lot more freedom and most of the work is done on the computer.  You get to give your opinion on other peoples writings and your own.  I think it is better then a normal class because I really like to type on the computer and I can give my opinion whenever I want.  I is a fun activity to do as an entire class/team to teach us about global warming and to teach us how to use blogs.

I Believe Bloging Is So Awesome!!!!!!!

February 27th, 2008 by spongebob101

I love being able to blog during class. This is different from a normal class day because it is much more open and it is really fun. I think it is much better that a normal class discussion because it is a smart and fun way to learn how to get familiar with blogs because they are something that will carry on with you for the rest of your life. If you go on to the Internet you might be surprised that you can find blogs that are wrote on almost anything and you can even comment on other peoples blogs. Overall, I believe that blogging is a great and educational experince. Bloging is the best!!!!!(:

What I think about blogs

February 27th, 2008 by planets411

My thoughts, at this moment, about this blog is that it helps to encourage ingenuity and creativity by letting us have a little more of freedom in class, instead of listening to lectures and doing homework sheets. I think this is better because we are more encouraged to strive to do our best when we are having fun, but also working. All in all, I believe that we are having a better time in class

Blogging :)

February 27th, 2008 by soccerislife8

My first impression on blogging was that this was going to be confusing and hard. I now know how to do more things so it is better. I like writing posts and then commenting on other peoples because it let’s them know what your opinion is and at the same time your are learning more about that person. This is different from other classroom activities because we have more freedom which comes more responsibility. For now I think that blogging is really fun and I think I am going to enjoy this activity! :)

What I think about Blogs

February 27th, 2008 by soccershrimp12

My thoughts right now on blogging is, this is a lot more fun than a regular class discussion and the idea of doing a blog was a great idea. I think this because, we get to write our own opinions on things, and other people get to comment and debate on our opinions, not to mention, we don’t have to even raise our hand in order to say something! Anyway, thanks Ms. Warren for letting us blog because I love it, and now I have more to look forward to in Science. :)

Having fun with blogs!

February 27th, 2008 by mgoblue1996

I think blogging is very fun and we can express our thoughts through the Internet.  I like how we use screen names so other people do not know our actual names.  I think compared to other classes that this is more fun because we can be on the Internet and so everyone is forced to participate and it is cool so that we can hear what every body thinks about the opinion. I love blogging because it is so much fun. Thats why I think blogging is better than regular classroom discussion.

Blogging Way of The Future

February 27th, 2008 by kkyla07

I really think blogging is fun! I’ve gone on sites like this before, but this is different because your class writes back to you quickly.  Normally you raise your hand when you want to say something, you now get the freedom to just write and express yourself freely.  I also, think computers are being more and more apart of  our lives and it’s fun being able to know how to use them more and in different ways.  Overall, I love this blogging project.

Blogging - My thoughts so far

February 27th, 2008 by hockeydude23

I like blogging so far, because it is a fun way of talking about serious matters.  Blogging is different than talking in class because we can say things about the topic anonymously.  In my mind, Blogging is definitely better than regular class because we can talk about serious things in a fun way, while learning.

Thoughts on Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by tkucha

I think this blogging is really fun!  It is teaching us a lot about technology and new things on the computer.  We get to talk, make funny comments, and I think that this is more fun than a regular class.  I also think that blogging is fun because we all get to share our ideas and thoughts on a subject without being embarrassed about sharing it out loud.  We also all get a chance to share our ideas because in regular class we might not be called on to share.  In conclusion, I think that this is more fun than a regular class and other classes should try this too.

Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by nmu52

Being able to create a blog is an interesting experience. Being able to give my opinion or write about myself, and the fact that all other six billion people in the world can read it, is very cool. How this is different from a normal class; the topics are more personal, I am able to give my opinion more strongly, and people pay more attention to it, where as only a teacher, and sometimes the class, will pay attention to my writing a normal class.

Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by xoxkutipixox

Blogging is really fun. Its different than other blogs, because some have different topics, and profiles. Its better than other blogs though, because we can write about anything science related! Blogging is going to be a great experience (and right now) just because we are able to see what other kids think, about certain topics!

How I like Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by elkrapids234

I think blogging is fun. I have never done a blog before except for a profile on AIM. I am really enjoying doing this because it is different from just discussing things in class. I think this because you get to hear and see everyone’s opinion instead of just a few people. I really like it. This is also different than writing an essay on what you think because other people can give you ideas and you can build off those ideas. I really enjoy doing blogs in class.

Blogging- What do you think?

February 27th, 2008 by turtlelvr11

Well I think that blogging is going really well and we should continue this long after we stop in class.  I think we should be able to use this blog to express out opinions out there to our fellow sixth graders and anyone out there looking at this blog from the world wide web.  I can’t wait for a chance to write my opinion on global warming, I am also prepared to be persuaded to the other point of view.  I just love this as a classroom activity and again can’t wait for out chance to get into discussion about global warming.

My Thoughts On Blogging…

February 27th, 2008 by xoxbelloxo

I have really been enjoying blogging. Blogging is different from what we have done before in class and in other classes because you are able to share your thoughts without anyone making fun of you. This really helps me to say what I feel better than it has in any other class. We should do blogging in every class because we could learn more about other people’s opinions.

Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by sammytaylor

I have never blogged before, let alone in school. I think it’s a lot of fun! It is different because you can say what you feel without everyone knowing or being critical, and you can do it without feeling embarrassed. I do not think that most kids get to blog in school, and I feel very fortunate to be able to! I would definitely agree it is more fun than having a classroom discussion. Keep Blogging!

What I think about blogging.

February 27th, 2008 by masters1132

I think that the blogging project is really fun so far.  It is different from a normal class because we don’t do school work, we just go on our laptop. I like this better than a normal class because we get to go on our laptops and blog and we don’t have to do school work or experiments.

My Thoughts On Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by bball4life

I like blogging because you can share your thoughts online without anyone knowing your name (unless you told them). Its different than class discussion because in class not everyone participates in them, but in blogging everyone does. Blogging is better than a class activity in my opinion because I think blogging is more fun than an activity.

These are my thoughts! :)

What I Think About Blogging

February 27th, 2008 by mariner10

Blogging is very fun and exciting, especially when you want to see what other people are posting or commenting about.  Unfortunately we are not very far in blogging, so there aren’t many posts and comments.  It hink blogging is a great way to get an opinion out to everyone else on the internet.  It’s great that we can just post, (as long as we have confirmation from the administrator), and comment easily.  I think class with blogging is equal to a regular class because we can just look at other blogs and comment, but we miss out on the fun experiments.

All About Blogging!

February 27th, 2008 by finnnnnjr

I have many thoughts about blogging. I really like blogging because it is something that many other kids in classrooms do not get to do, it is fun to be graded on your own blog. It is better than just having classroom discussions because in a blog we can express how we feel with not only our classmates but other people not in our class. Blogging is a very fun way to be graded in class.

My opinion on blogging!

February 27th, 2008 by moss49

I think blogging is a great idea for science class. It is different from a regular class because it’s posting or commenting facts and your opinion online where anyone can view it. You have screen names so people can’t see who made it and thats good for people who like privacy. I like it better then just a regular class which is just reading and writing. It’s more fun then doing a work sheet. You can also post pictures or videos to help people understand it. This is why I think blogging is a fun class activity.

Pollution: is Way Over

February 27th, 2008 by kkyla07

Do you believe we need to make a change in usind less water in the shower or not throwing your gum out the window.  I do, I take 2 minute showers and I recycle.  All food for us is not always as good for our environment.  So what I want the public to do is try not to pollute.
